Airport Transfers
  • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and your London hotel. When you book your Costsaver tour with Trafalgar, we give you the opportunity to purchase inexpensive transfers to and from the airport. Trafalgar has negotiated special rates for the HOTELINK transfer from the London Airports to the door of your Trafalgar London hotel.
  • Please note that from Gatwick airport this service utilises the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station and you will then be transported to your Trafalgar hotel by Hotelink shuttle.
  • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to purchase transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met: You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure. Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
  • Heathrow Airport: Hotelink transfers from Heathrow Airport to you Trafalgar hotel operates between 06.00-21.30. Hotelink transfers to Heathrow Airport on day of departure are timed to connect with scheduled flights operating between 08.00-23.00.
  • Gatwick Airport: Hotelink transfers from Gatwick Airport to your Trafalgar hotel operates between 06.00-12.30. Hotelink transfers to Gatwick Airport on day of departure are timed to connect with scheduled flights operating between 08.00-23.00.
  • In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.

  • Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to Berlin.


  • Day 2 - Arrive Berlin On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city highlighting the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and the Kurfurstendamm. Dinner is at our hotel this evening. (Dinner)

  • Day 3 - Berlin - Copenhagen (2 nights) We travel north to Rostock and then cruise across the Baltic to Denmark, where we soon arrive in wonderful Copenhagen, the Danish capital. This evening, why not visit the famous Tivoli gardens? (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 4 - Copenhagen sightseeing & at leisure We will see the Little Mermaid, the Renaissance Stock Exchange, the Royal Amalienborg Palace and the Christiansborg Palace on our morning sightseeing tour. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.. (Scandinavian Breakfast)


  • Day 5 - Copenhagen - Stockholm First we cross the Oresund into Sweden. Then we continue our journey travelling north through lush forests and meadows to the resort of Granna at the head of Lake Vattern. Then northwards to beautiful island-ringed Stockholm, Sweden''s capital. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

  • Day 6 - Stockholm - At Sea This morning''s sightseeing tour with a local guide shows us the Royal Palace and City Hall. Stockholm is constructed on a maze of islands and criss-crossed by many bridges, so it is a pleasant city to wander through, which you can do before we board ship for our mini-cruise to Finland. (Breakfast / Dinner)


  • Day 7 - At Sea - Helsinki An early arrival in Finland''s capital allows us time for a guided tour showing us Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market Squares, broad boulevards and the domed Russian Church. Then free time to shop and sightsee further before checking in to our hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (Continental Breakfast)

  • Day 8 - Helsinki - St. Petersburg (3 nights) Today we drive to the border with Russia, passing the timber centre of Kotka and on through the town of Vyborg. Then we continue across the forests of Karelia to St. Petersburg for our three night stay. With dinner tonight enjoy some complimentary champagne! (ScandinavianBreakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 9 - St. Petersburg sightseeing & at leisure Featured on our sightseeing tour this morning are the Tsar''s Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac''s Cathedral, the Statue of Peter the Great and a visit of the St. Peter and Paul fortress. Afterwards, the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may wish to see the summer Palace of Empress Catherine the Great or maybe visit the residence of Peter the Great in Petrodvorets. (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 10 - St. Petersburg at leisure Today there''s time to relax in St. Petersburg. Why not visit one of the greatest collections of paintings and objets d’art in the world at the Hermitage Museum in the Tsar’s Winter Palace? This evening we enjoy dinner with our fellow travellers and Tour Director in a local restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)


  • Day 11 - St. Petersburg - train to Moscow (2 nights) Time to maybe lose yourself in the Gostiny Dvor, the city''s largest and absolutely huge department store. After lunch in the afternoon, we take the 5-hour train trip to Moscow. (Continental Breakfast / Lunch)

  • Day 12 - Moscow sightseeing Our sightseeing tour features many outstanding highlights such as Red Square, the Kremlin Walls and St. Basil''s domed Cathedral. During your stay, why not visit the Treasure Chamber of the Tsars or take a trip to nearby Zagorsk - a centre of Russian art and architecture, as well as once being the religious capital of Russia. (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 13 - Moscow - Smolensk - Minsk An early departure takes us past Borodino, site of Napolean''s great defeat. We stop for lunch near Smolensk before we cross the border and enter the independent state of Belarus and continue to Minsk, rebuilt in supreme Soviet style after the Second World War. Here an orientation takes you along wide avenues and past gargantuan concrete buildings – a legacy of the city’s Soviet past. Tonight we enjoy a dinner of traditional cuisine at our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

  • Day 14 - Minsk - Brest - Warsaw (2 nights) Today''s drives takes us via the vast plains of White Russia and the Pripet Marches to the Polish frontier at Brest Litovsk where we stop for lunch. From here we cross the River Vistula before arriving in Warsaw, capital of Poland, for our two-night stay. (Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

  • Day 15 - Warsaw sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing features the Old Town, reconstructed after wartime destruction and the site of the Warsaw Ghetto. This evening after dinner, why not listen to a Chopin piano recital? (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 16 - Warsaw - Berlin Today we travel across the central plains of Poland to Poznan, with its charming City Hall and Gothic churches. Then we continue to the border town of Frankfurt-an-der-Oder and into Germany, where we are soon are back in Berlin. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 17 - Depart Berlin Bid farewell to Europe and your new-found friends as we transfer you to the airport for our return flight home. (Buffet Breakfast)
